The 31-year-old goalkeeper will be available for Thursday’s Europa League clash with Turkish side Istanbul Basaksehir.
Hart, who missed most of last season is still not fully fit as he recovers from a calf injury. however, he is likely to start the season as first choice.
Hart's exit ends a 12-year spell at City although the last two seasons were spent out on loan in Italy with Torino and then West Ham.
