Belgium No.1 Yanina Wickmayer is under the risk of going to jail due to the violation of house construction regulation.
According to prosecution, the tennis player’s house, the construction of which lasted back in 2012/13, was enlarged by cutting down the trees around the house circuit. Moreover, her garage construction, as well as the way the alley leading to the house was laid, were also violating the regulations of the country.
The first court hearing took place on Monday, March 20, where the prosecutor suggested to fine the athlete by £50.000 and to sentence her to jail for an amount of time yet unknown to the media.
The court will announce its final decision on April 10.
