Absolutely similar statistics for last 6 games show the relative equality of the team qualities. If you look deeper, however, you will notice that Manchester United are undefeated in 11 of their last 12 home matches against Arsenal in all competitions.

Still, Arsenal’s big win in the first leg match may imply that this season is more successful for the Gunners… Well, will see…

Manchester United have been regaining form in last matches. The team won two last games, one in FA Cup, the other in Europa League and ensured its place in the next rounds of the leagues. However, Van Gaal’s team still do not feel comfortable in Premier League and facing EPL’s 3rd  team after two unknown and unexperienced teams may become a real challenge for “The Red Devils”, taking into account the long list of injured players. This fact may also let the youngster Rashford play, as he did during the midweek game against Midtjylland scoring 2 goals.

Coach: Louis van Gaal

Injured: Shaw, Young, Jones, Schweinsteiger, Rooney, Fellaini, Keane, Valencia, De Gea (?), Smalling (?), Darmian (?), Martial (?), Borthwick Jackson (?).

Suspended: none

Probable Lineup:

Arsenal had a not very successful week. The team has an away draw with Hull City (0-0) and a midweek home loss against Barcelona (0-2) in UCL. Now they need to prove their status of being the 3rd in EPL by beating up the instable MU. Moreover, Arsene Wenger has his forward Danny Welbeck who seems to look forward to the match against his former club and will probably show the 100%.

However, Arsenal also suffer from injuries. Although Gabriel returned and is almost fit for the game, Oxlade Chamberlain got an ankle and knee injury in the game against Barcelona.

Coach: Arsene Wenger

Injured: Wilshere, Rosicky, Cazorla, Chamberlain, Paulista

Suspended: none
