Manchester United will rival Arsenal for Bayern Munich defender Jerome Boateng, who is valued £44million by his current club. United are in need of a centre-back before transfer deadline. However, according to German publication Kicker, Arsenal - and Paris Saint-Germain could emerge as rivals for his signature. Following United's 1-0 defeat to Bayern in their final pre-season game on Sunday Jose Mouriniho revealed: ‘My CEO knows for a long time what I want. I know that he is doing the best for me and I still have a few days left to see what happens.’
