Arsenal and Manchester United join forces in bid to scrap UEFA rule

Arsenal and Manchester United  former and present bosses urged to set same transfer deadline across Europe. UEFA have also been urged to review the use of the away-goals rule in European competitions by the likes of Jose Mourinho, Arsene Wenger and Unai Emery. Juventus' Massimiliano Allegri, Real Madrid's Julen Lopetegui, Carlo Ancelotti of Napol, Atletico Madrid's Diego Simeone, Newcastle United's Rafa Benitez and Paris St-Germain's Thomas Tuchel were among the star managers who took part of the meeting. UEFA deputy general secretary Giorgio Marchetti said the confederation will review this idea. "The coaches think that scoring goals away is not as difficult as it was in the past," said Marchetti after the meeting in Switzerland.
