Arsenal get huge injury boost ahead of Chelsea clash

Unai Emery will take charge of his first competitive London derby against Chelsea on Saturday. The Arsenal coach has come for some criticism following Sunday’s defeat against Manchester City and has been working hard with his squad for the upcoming match. Gunners’ injury news inform that Nacho Monreal has been taking a full part in training all week having recovered from a knee injury. Monreal didn't play a single minute in Arsenal's pre-season campaign, but he might be thrown straight into the starting XI this weekend after Ainsley Maitland-Niles was injured in last weekend's game against City. Maitland-Niles didn’t train at London Colney on Wednesday because of an injury. In case Monreal is sidelined, Stephan Lichtsteiner will be asked to play out of position on the left side of the back four. Sead Kolasinac is out with a knee injury while Laurent Koscielny will not return from his Achilles issue until the end of the year. Danny Welbeck and Lucas Torreira are both expected to the first time this season.
