Argentina sack Jorge Sampaoli
Argentina Football Association have sacked Jorge Sampaoli after World Cup 2018 round of 16 exit.
Sampaoli took the charge of the team in 2017, and managed only one win in last 3 qualification matches.
World Cup 2018 start was more devastating, when Albiceleste drew first match against Iceland and were destroyed by Croatia in match-day 2. According to reports, Sampaoli was no longer deciding starting lineups and substitutions as Lionel Messi and Javier Mascherano have taken the responsibility instead of him.
Football Association have paid £1.2 m to Sampaoli which is far less than £15 m written in the contract.
Former Sevilla manager will however be given chance to work with U-20 team.
