Allegri could replace Wenger this summer

Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri is in advanced discussions with Arsenal about replacing Arsene Wenger this summer, report The Sun on Sunday.

The 49-year-old is ready to call time on his successful spell in Turin – which has yielded two Serie A titles – due to his strained relationship with the Italian press.

Allegri, who guided Juve to the 2015 Champions League final, has been in contact with Arsenal about replacing Wenger, who is expected to bring the curtain down on his 20-year spell at the club at the end of the season.

The Sun go on to claim the Gunners have contacted a number of possible successors to gauge their interest in replacing Wenger.
